Dr. Reena Sud

Hi Leslieville!

Originally from Winnipeg, MB, Dr.Reena Sud graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 2010, with honours. She settled in Toronto with her husband and has since enjoyed the culture and community that Leslieville offers. Her dream of opening her own practice and her passion for the Leslieville community brought her to open Leslieville Optometry.

During her Optometry training, Dr. Sud completed an externship in Detroit, Michigan at the Veterans Affairs Hospital. Here she had the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the management of ocular diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, age related macular degeneration, dry eyes and glaucoma. Dr. Sud has travelled to Mexico to complete a mission trip providing eye exams to those without access to ocular services.

Dr. Sud is trained to help patients of all ages; however, she has a special interest in children’s eye care to help identify preventable vision loss, such as seen in amblyopia.

In her spare time Dr.Sud enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 young children, as well as travelling when she gets the chance! You may run into Dr.Sud doing a yoga class at Toronto Yoga Mamas or enjoying a meal with her family at one of her favourite spots in the neighbourhood including Descendant Pizza, Bonjour Brioche and coffee at Kaspace Cafe.
